Procurement & Supply Chain Manager
As a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient logistics and supply chain operations. This role requires strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement and logistics principles.
Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate contracts, and ensure procurement efficiency.
Supplier Management:
- Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Contract Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations for procurement contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with legal teams to review and finalize contracts.
Logistics Optimization:
- Streamline logistics and supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with transportation providers, warehouses, and distribution centers.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that procured goods meet specified standards.
- Work with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and ethical practices.
- Assess and mitigate risks in the procurement and logistics processes.
Cost Analysis:
- Conduct cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement and logistics performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, operations, and sales to align procurement and logistics activities with overall business objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in procurement and logistics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years of management experience handling a team
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Proficient in using procurement and supply chain management software.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
