Nike

Nike was founded by  Oregon track athlete Phil Knight and his coach Bill Bowerman in January 1964. The company was named after the Greek goddess of victory, Nike. Since then Nike has sponsored many athletes and sports teams around the world. Its mission statement “To bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete’’, the trademark of "Just Do It" and the Swoosh logo, quickly became the highly recognised symbol of innovation and shoemaking excellence. Their first product, the track running shoe has quickly evolved into the wide range of iconic sports trainers and trendy active wear. The ground-breaking Air Zoom Vomero running sneaker is as desirable as when it was first introduced in the year 2006. With its release, the whole set of revolutionary innovations including Air cushioned sole, an external heel counter, a crashpad for shock absorption and Fit Frame technology were introduced. Nike also uses the range of modern solutions such as Flywire lacing system and Lunarlite Foam to reduce weight. Today, this world-renowned sports brand sells professional shoes for tennis, golf, skateboarding, football, baseball, just to name a few. Thanks to the innovative approach and dynamic silhouette of Nike footwear, the distinct V-shaped logo is now considered as a symbol of an active lifestyle and a fashion conscious brand. Nike stays in tune with its customers and often reinvents and brings back the beloved iconic styles, Nike Air Max line is still regarded to be one of the most desirable shoe styles out there. Simply put, the modern manufacturing methods and clever design make Nike products withstand the test of ever-changing fashion trends and simply do not go out of style. Caring for the environment and giving back to the society is an important part of Nike’s mission statement. The Sustainable economy is low-carbon growth based and Nike recognises that. The brand supports its manufacturing chains and labour rights all around the world. Always looking forward to the new challenge and demonstrating the responsive approach to the social and customer needs, Nike is a definite leader in the modern sports’ scene.
